Masterpieces from the Mauritshuis
at the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag
28 April 2012 - mid-2014
Until May 4 2014, around 100 highlights from the Mauritshuis’s collection are on display at the Gemeentemuseum in The Hague. An entire wing of the museum has been dedicated to favorites like Vermeer’s View of Delft, and Potter’s The Bull. This collaboration between the Mauritshuis and the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag brings masterpieces from six centuries together under one roof.
This temporary location is a result of the Mauritshuis’s expansion and renovation. On June 27 the Mauritshuis reopens for public. Until May 4 2014, you can continue to enjoy Mauritshuis tours and education events, as well as the museum shop, at the Gemeentemuseum The Hague.
From September 28 to January 5 Rembrandt's Anatomy Lesson of Dr Nicolaes Tulp will temporarily leave its customary place in the Gemeentemuseum to feature in the exhibition The Anatomy Lesson: From Rembrandt to Damien Hirst, also in the Gemeentemuseum.
