Benefactors

The activities organised by the museum are largely dependent on the financial support of sponsors and benefactors. The Ministry of Education, Culture and Sciences (Onderwijs, Cultuur en Wetenschappen) provides the museum with an operating grant. The Mauritshuis has been able to expand its collection and mount exhibitions, thanks to the generous contributions of businesses, funds, foundations and private individuals.
