The Mauritshuis in the centre of The Hague is currently being renovated. But the museum is still active and visible! Until mid-2014, Masterpieces from the Mauritshuis will be on display in the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag. The museum offers different programmes:
Interactive Guided Tour ‘Masterpieces’
During this guided tour, pupils learn all about the collection's masterpieces. In addition to viewing and talking about Vermeer's ‘View of Delft’ and Rembrandt's ‘The anatomy lesson’, the museum educator also discusses the various genres in painting with them as well as the period in which the artworks were painted, the Golden Age.
