Dioraphte

The Dioraphte Foundation supports charities in six countries, in the Netherlands and in Africa. It focuses on the areas of Cultural Heritage, Podium Arts, People and Nature, Social Initiatives, and Science and Education. In 2016, Dioraphte supported a scientific project at the Mauritshuis.

Fil Foundation

Fil Foundation focusses on projects in the fields of art & culture, education, and on renovation and expansion projects. This funds provided a contribution to the renovation and expansion project Mauritshuis building for the future 2012-2014.

Fonds 21

Fonds 21 (previously SNS REAAL Fonds) enables entrepreneurial, cultural and special social initiatives. The fund supports high-profile large and small projects in the fields of art & culture and youth & society. In 2007, Fonds 21 provided a contribution to the purchase of Sea View with Ships by Jan van de Capelle. In 2015, Fonds 21 contributed to the exhibition The Frick Collection - Art Treasures from New York.

Fonds 1818

Fonds 1818 finances art projects, but also projects in the field of nature and the environment and at the social level in the Haaglanden area. Thanks to support from Fonds 1818 (at the time the VSBfonds Haaglanden), the Mauritshuis acquired in 1994 The Old Lacemaker by Nicolaes Maes. Furthermore, the Mauritshuis was able to count on a substantial contribution by Fonds 1818 for the renovation and expansion project Mauritshuis building for the future 2012-2014.

Hendrik Muller Vaderlandsch Fund

Hendrik Muller Vaderlandsch Fund subsidises publications and seminars on scientific and cultural topics and also contributes to various cultural goals of national importance. This fund has contributed in particular to the acquisition of paintings, such as in 1993 Portraits of a couple, possibly Peter van Hecke (1591-1645) and Clara Fourment (1593-1643) by Peter Paul Rubens.

M.A.O.C. Gravin van Bylandt

The M.A.O.C. Gravin van Bylandt Foundation has been active since 1968, offering financial support to projects that focus on the general well-being of people and animals. In 2014, the foundation contributed to the publication of Mauritshuis - The Building following the opening exhibition of the Mauritshuis in June 2014. In 2015 the fund contributed to the catologue of the exhibition Dutch Self-portraits - Selfies of the Golden Age.

Mondriaan Fund

The Mondriaan Fund is the nationwide stimulation fund for visual arts and cultural heritage. In 2005, this fund has contributed to enabling the purchase of Old Woman and Boy with Candles by Peter Paul Rubens. In 2007, the Mondriaan Fund provided a contribution to the purchase of Sea View with Ships by Jan van de Capelle.
In 2015, the Mondriaan Fund supported the exhibition Rembrandt? The case of Saul and David.

F.S. Tijmstra Foundation

The F.S. Tijmstra Foundation initiates, stimulates and supports educational projects. Thanks to a financial contribution, the Mauritshuis was able to develop the Golden Tour, an interactive multimedia tour for youth in 2014.

Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds

Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds is a passionate supporter of culture, nature and science in the Netherlands and abroad. Through financial contributions, commissions, awards and scholarships, the fund stimulates exceptional initiatives and talent. For many years, this Cultural Fund has supported the Mauritshuis in purchasing paintings, for instance in 1966 The Mariaplaats with the Mariakerk in Utrecht by Pieter Saenredam, in 1999 Portrait of an Old Man by Rembrandt, and many more. The Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds contributed to the acquisition of new multimedia equipment in the Nassau Room of the Mauritshuis. And in 2015, the Culture Fund was one of the sponsors of the exhibition The Frick Collection - Art Treasures from New York. In 2016, we were able to appoint an interim junior curator thanks to support from the Cultuurfonds Conservatoren Stipendium.

Turing Foundation

The Turing Foundation is a private foundation established in 2006 in order to support art, nature, education, and leprosy control. Thanks in part to its contribution, the Mauritshuis was able to realise the exhibition Made in Holland, for which 44 works of art from the private American collection of Eijk and Rose-Marie van Otterloo were exhibited at the Mauritshuis.

VSBfonds

VSBfonds contributes to the quality of the Dutch society by supporting projects with funds, knowledge, and networks. With financial support from this foundation, the Mauritshuis was able to acquire a number of paintings, such as in particular View of Castle Bentheim by Jacob van Ruisdael in 2005. In 2007, the VSBfonds provided a contribution to the purchase of Sea View with Ships by Jan van de Capelle. This fund has also provided an important contribution to the educational programming of the Mauritshuis, which was completely renewed as part of the expansion project Mauritshuis building for the future. This includes various multimedia programmes for elementary schools and the interactive Mauritshuis Tour.

Zabawas

The Zabawas Foundation is a family-run foundation that supports projects in the areas of culture, nature, and science. At the Mauritshuis, the foundation is supporting the development of a new interactive survey for primary school classes. This allows classes to prepare their visit to the Mauritshuis in a fun way, and for the guide to better adjust the museum tour to the group.
