Policy
In accordance with its articles of association, the goal of Foundation Friends of the Mauritshuis is to support Foundation Royal Picture Gallery Mauritshuis (Stichting Koninklijk Kabinet van Schilderijen Mauritshuis). The contributions of its Friends help the museum to realise new exhibitions and expand its collection.
Update on the foundation’s current activities
In 2019, the Foundation Friends of the Mauritshuis contributed to the exhibitions Shifting Image - In search of Johan Maurits, together with the visitors we looked at the namesake of the museum and Nicolaes Maes - Rembrandt’s Versatile Pupil .
The foundation also organised various events in connection with our fundraising activities and to strengthen the ties with our Friends. In addition to the traditional Donateurs Dinner, these events included preview cocktail events, lectures, family days and excursions.
Remuneration policy
The board members do not receive any form of remuneration for their activities on behalf of the foundation.
