E-tickets Mauritshuis

Welcome to the Mauritshuis! We encourage you to buy advanced tickets to the Mauritshuis on our website. Our e-tickets are valid up to 1 year from date of issuance.

With an e-ticket you needn't go through the cash desk. However, e-tickets do not grant you priority at possible queues outside and in front of the exhibition room.

Order your tickets online

Ticket sales

After buying your ticket online, you will receive an email with a PDF attachment. This attachment, with a unique barcode, is your admission ticket. Your ticket can be scanned both in printed form and from your smartphone at the museum entrance. (Please note: the email itself is not a ticket, only the PDF attachment with barcode)

One ticket allows you to visit the entire museum. There is no extra charge to visit the Royal Dutch Shell Wing and our exhibitions. To visit the Prince William V Gallery, you may purchase a separate ticket or a combined ticket allowing to visit both the Mauritshuis and the Gallery.

Please note: it is not possible to make a reservation for a requested time slot.

Group tickets

You may purchase up to 14 tickets online at once. If you are planning to visit the Mauritshuis with more than 14 people, please make a group reservation. Groups of 15 people or more can visit the museum at a reduced price of € 12.50 per person, instead of € 14 .

Discount cards

If you have a discount card, and are buying an e-ticket, please remember to bring your card with you during your visit. Both your e-ticket and your discount card will be scanned at the entrance.

Museum Card bearers, Friends of the Mauritshuis, Rembrandt pass bearers and ICOM pass bearers do not need an e-ticket. Their passes give fast lane admission.

Questions about your e-ticket?

If you have not received an email after finishing your order, the confirmation might have ended up in your spam folder. Please check your spam folder. If your e-ticket is not there, please contact the Mauritshuis via  +31 (0)70 302 3456. 

  1. I've lost my e-tickets. What do I do now?
    Your e-tickets might still be in the trash or spam folder in your mailbox, please check these folders first. If your e-ticket isn't there, please contact the Mauritshuis via mail@mauritshuis.nl or call +31 (0)70 302 3456.
  2. Can my e-ticket be transferred to someone else?
    Yes, although your e-ticket bears a name, it is still transferable. Please note: for e-tickets with discount cards, the discount card must be shown at the entrance. These discount cards are not transferable. 
  3. Can I exchange my e-ticket or get a refund?
    No, it is not possible to exchange your e-ticket or get a refund.
