We are delighted to invite you to an evening lecture filled with fascinating stories about a treasure-trove of extraordinary art objects, manuscripts, antiquities, books and portraits amassed by avid collector, Baron van Westreenen van Tiellandt.
The Baron bequeathed his huge collection to the state, and his house was opened to the public as a museum in 1852. Following our visit to the Huis van het Boek last year, we are delighted to welcome Head of Collections, Rickey Tax as our guest speaker. Rickey has a wealth of stories about the rather eccentric baron and, thanks to the high-resolution screen in the Nassauzaal, we can enjoy seeing breathtaking details of the precious collection.
