A Peek at Potter - Investigating the Bull

We're going to restore Potter's legendairy (get it?) painting The Bull. The preliminary investigation kicked off at the beginning of 2023. At A Peek at Potter, you dive into the details of a two-year restoration journey and catch the juiciest tidbits about one of the most popular Dutch paintings. You can witness the entire process live and stay in the loop online as we unfold the magic.

My Girl with a Pearl

Starting February 25, you can see a selection of 60 new Girls in the foyer of the Mauritshuis, displayed in a 3D-printed frame that’s an exact replica of the original.

BIRDS – Curated by The Goldfinch & Simon Schama

Birds – we can’t imagine life without them. To us, birds symbolise freedom, beauty and love. But birds are also pets, a source of food or hunting trophies. BIRDS delves into our enduring relationship with these creatures that we love, yet keep in cages. What does our relationship with birds tell us about how we treat the natural world?

Pentimenti - Stephan Vanfleteren

Stephan Vanfleteren, one of the world's leading photographers, is creating new work for the Mauritshuis. In each of the Mauritshuis's 16 rooms, he draws inspiration from a specific painting or a particular theme in that room.

Exhibition Thyssen Bornemisza in Mauritshuis The Hague

Twenty-five highlights from the Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection in Madrid are coming to the Mauritshuis. The Masters from Madrid will be on display from October 15, 2026, to January 17, 2027.
