The best way to discover art, as a student, is to encounter it face to face. The Mauritshuis is therefore the museum par excellence for CKV students.

Every work of art tells its own story: What makes Girl with a Pearl Earring so special? And how did Rembrandt, Vermeer, and Jan Steen actually become so famous? Why are so many people depicted in the nude? No question is too crazy, all the secrets of the masters are unravelled.

Practical information for school visits

  • Bookings must be requested at least 5 weeks before the visit.
  • One museum educator will be assigned for every 15 students. Larger groups will require additional museum educators.
  • For guided tours we can house 60 students simultaneously, for workshops 30 students.
  • Admission is free for students aged 18 and under.
  • For every 15 students, 2 accompanying adults receive free admission. For a group of 30 students, 4 accompanying adults receive free admission, and so on.
  • Additional accompanying adults beyond these complimentary places must purchase a regular admission ticket through the online ticket shop.

Changes and cancellations

  • A reservation can be changed or cancelled free of charge up to 10 working days before the visit.
  • Changes or cancellations made after this deadline will be charged in full.
