Mauritshuis Murals: donate a spraycan!

Collin Van Der Sluijs Super A Mauritshuis Mural Lonnekerstraat Den Haag 2

Hooray! Thanks to your support, the crowdfunding was a succes and we have crossed the finish line with the target amount of €15,000!

In 2022 we break down the walls of our museum and bring the art outside. Five phenomenal street artists let themselves be inspired by the paintings from our collection and turn them into life-size murals. They paint them on various walls in The Hague. Day and night for all to see. The image shows the first Mauritshuis Mural by Super A and Collin van der Sluijs at Lonnekerstraat in The Hague.

Some heartwarming comments left by donors:

Yvonne: "Art should be for everybody and everywhere."

Anonymous: "Art should be accessible to everyone, regardless of age, income, race, religion, gender, etc. The Mauritshuis Murals will bring art into open spaces for everyone to enjoy, whenever they want, while at the same time beautifying our city!"

Anonymous: "I love street art and I love the Mauritshuis museum."

Anke: "I love the idea of making cities a better and safer place! This is a new interpretation of a ‚third place‘ everybody in the museum scene talks about these days. Would love to get one or two pictures of the mural."
