The entire collection of the Mauritshuis can be downloaded free and without paying royalties. There are, however, some rules for publications and developing merchandise.
Downloading images yourself
To find an image of one of our paintings, first look for the work in our collection. Then click on the download button to the right of the large image.
Publications
For a publication too, you can download images of our paintings yourself. But we do ask you to always mention the painter, title and year, with the credit line ‘Mauritshuis, The Hague’.
We would also like to receive a copy of your publication for our library. You can send it to: Mauritshuis, Images, Postbus 536, 2501 CM in The Hague.
Merchandise
Our images can be used without paying royalties. If you have any questions about inspiring product development or would like to discuss possibilities for cooperation, please contact us.
Journalists can make use of our visual archive. These images may not be used for commercial purposes. If you have additional requests, please contact us at [email protected].
