Maurits Muis and the bizarre birds (4-6)
Meet the flock of bizarre birds from The Goldfinch! Join Maurits Mouse as you visit the BIRDS exhibition. You’ll learn all about some amazing colourful birds in art, and then in the Art Studio, you can make your very own feathered friend to take home.
Dates: 15 Feb and 22 Feb
Time: 10:30 – 11:45 am
Age: for children between 4-6 years old (parental supervision is mandatory)
Cost: € 8,50 per person (children and adults require separate tickets). If you’re planning to visit the museum after the workshop, you will need a valid entry ticket.

Open Art Studio (all ages)
This spring, travel on the wings of a honking goose, or maybe a racing ostrich! In the exhibition BIRDS, you’ll discover works by all kinds of artists inspired by birds. Afterwards, a museum teacher will guide you as you create your very own artwork. Each week there's a different project to try. Lucky you!
Dates: 15 Feb, 18 Feb and 22 Feb
Time: 1:15 – 4:15 pm
Duration: Until the Art Studio closes
Age: For everyone (children aged 4-6 must be accompanied by an adult)
Cost: Valid museum admission ticket required. Children up to 18 years always have free access to the museum. Show your Ooievaarspas to get 50% off your ticket.

Scavenger hunts through the Mauritshuis (4+ and 7+)
Go on a treasure hunt through our museum together! For children from 4 years upwards, you will go on a search for the animals in the paintings together. Get tips from forest ranger Tim, biologist Auke-Florian and, of course, Maurits Mouse!
For children aged 7 and over, you will explore, look and talk together. You may not have noticed before, but there are many children in the paintings. What are they doing? What are they talking about? Is everything you see correct?
This scavenger hunt is always available. Get free activitybooks from the service desk in the Foyer. Don't forget to pick up a little surprise at the service desk afterwards.
