Guess who’s back? The fènste avondsje kuns en kultuâh (the finest night of art and culture), of course! On Saturday, 10 October 2026, the city will transform into one big artistic playground during Museumnacht Den Haag. Explore museums, galleries, hotspots and hidden gems, from iconic landmarks to mysterious courtyards. It’s set to be a night full of art, music, performances and fresh inspiration. And once again, the doors of the Mauritshuis will be wide open.

There’s so much to do at the Mauritshuis during Museum Night! From disco bingo with drag superstar Janey Jacké to artistic swiping, getting a special edition Trobbies temporary tattoo, or joining a (nude) life drawing workshop. Come join the fun! Check out the full programme here.

Disco Bingo met international drag superstar Janey Jacke

Ready for an energetic pit stop? In the foyer of the Mauritshuis, a DJ will be spinning the best records all evening long. Every hour, you can join a lively round of Disco Bingo, hosted by the one and only Janey Jacké. Recognize the hits, sing along, and stand a chance to win fun prizes!

Giveaway Throbbies x Mauritshuis

Girl with a Pearl Earring is back at the Mauritshuis! We’re celebrating during Museumnacht with a fun giveaway. Tattoo artist Thomas from The Hague-based studio Trobbies took inspiration from Vermeer’s world-famous masterpiece and created an exclusive tattoo design.

You can get the temporary tattoo in his signature style for free by signing up for the Mauritshuis Event Update during Museumnacht. Plus, you’ll have a chance to win some great prizes: a one-year membership to the Mauritshuis Culture Club, a limited-edition print, and sweaters featuring Thomas’s design.

And for true tattoo fans: one lucky winner will get to have the design permanently tattooed by Thomas himself at his studio. Will you be sporting this pearl of a tattoo?

Masterclass in life drawing

Put your phone away, pick up a pencil and really take a good look during a short masterclass in (nude) life drawing by Nice Flaps. You absolutely don’t need to be good at drawing: just see what happens when you sit down, give it a go and get some seriously great tips!

Paint your (Museum Night)-partner!

How well do you really observe your (Museum Night) partner? Pick up a paintbrush and take on the challenge. In just 30 minutes, you'll paint each other's portrait. Prefer to work solo? Create a self-portrait instead. No artistic experience is necessary, but a sense of humor certainly helps.

Lightning tours of the Mauritshuis

Short on time but don’t want to miss a thing? Join a highlights tour of the Mauritshuis and discover the stories behind some of the museum’s most famous paintings. In just 20 minutes, you’ll get a fascinating introduction to masterpieces from the collection.

It’s a Match!

Forget dates and art historical jargon. In this workshop, you'll explore the collection in a completely different way. Step into the shoes of a painting and write an irresistible dating profile. Will it be a match?

Art & Drinks

During the Art & Drinks, discover what happens when you spend a little more time with a single painting. No prior knowledge is needed: together, we explore what you see in an artwork from the Mauritshuis collection, while enjoying a drink and a tasty treat. What catches your eye? What sparks your curiosity? And why might the person next to you see something completely different?

This activity takes place at four different times in the Brasserie of the Mauritshuis: 7:45 PM, 8:45 PM, 9:45 PM, and 10:45 PM.

Take a break from the buzz of Museum Night and join a mindful writing session. Choose a painting that speaks to you, spend more time looking than you normally would, and discover the words, memories, and stories that emerge. No writing experience is required, just curiosity.

Step into Galery Pince Willem V, a unique place where time seems to stand still. Surrounded by masterpieces by artists such as Jan Steen, Peter Paul Rubens, and many others, you can enjoy the warm sounds of live music. Let yourself be carried away by the combination of art and music in a gallery that still retains the atmosphere of the late eighteenth century.
