Girl with a Pearl Earring is back at the Mauritshuis! We’re celebrating during Museum Night with a fun giveaway.
Tattoo artist Thomas from The Hague-based studio Trobbies took inspiration from Vermeer’s world-famous masterpiece and created an exclusive tattoo design. You can get the temporary tattoo in his signature style for free by signing up for the Mauritshuis Event Update during Museum Night. Plus, you’ll have a chance to win some great prizes: a one-year membership to the Mauritshuis Culture Club, a limited-edition print, and sweaters featuring Thomas’s design.
And for true tattoo fans: one lucky winner will get to have the design permanently tattooed by Thomas himself at his studio. Will you be sporting this pearl of a tattoo?

Trobbies is a popular tattoo studio in The Hague, known for its distinctive style. During Museum Night 2024, Team Trobbies transformed the Mauritshuis into a unique pop-up tattoo studio, bringing the museum’s collection to life with special flash sheets that could only be tattooed on your skin that night. Now, the Mauritshuis is teaming up with Trobbies once again to celebrate the return of The Hague icon Girl with a Pearl Earring.
